Why Do People Find It Difficult To Shop Clothing Online?

I love shopping online because I don’t have to leave the house for sourcing the best available but sometimes it is difficult to find exactly what I want and that I don’t get it right away.

So, back in 2010-11 when I was in my high school, I literally had no idea that a person like me who is so much dependent on my mom for styling my clothes will end up being a menswear blogger and fashion stylist. I had always been keen on shopping for myself whether it be the accessories or the daily trends prevailing in the market. So, I had always been a fashionable person but I was not a stylist back then. I had the knowledge of what to shop and from where to shop but was poor in styling different pieces of cloth effectively.

I have always been a person who finds the concept of experimentation and exploration as the basis of lifestyle. Without having both of them, a person can feel difficult to shop either from the offline stores or the online e-commerce. Both these concepts work equally and directly proportionates each other.

There are n number of e-commerce selling fashion and lifestyle products and their advent has actually grown on an exponential phase throughout these years.

Generally, a consumer experience totally lies on the user-interface that particular e-commerce has offered. If it’s easy to find relevant products on that particular e-commerce, the consumer will definitely source for his/her products and would love to visit that particular website and perhaps, that’s how it works, but let’s consider the situation another way round, where a consumer finds it difficult to source appropriate products that he/she needs even with a clearance sale or any other sale offering 60-70% off, the person will still have a thought about staying over there and hence, will visit that website occasionally and not frequently. User-interface actually builds an impression of that particular website on the consumer.

DIFFICULTIES IN SHOPPING ONLINE?

I’m a person who is very fond of shopping and actually, shops a lot. I almost spend at least 10-15 mins on my favourite shopping portals for daily sourcing and for weekends, I usually spend my time exploring the new trends hitting in the market, in malls, streets and wherever I can find relevant products.

Observing a lot of my clients who shop from my store as well as the individuals I see finding it difficult to select in the stores, usually malls and streets and have one thing lacking and that is the concept of Experimentation and Exploration.

Sourcing is a fun task if done in the right way whether it be your online e-commerce websites or your offline stores.

Difficulties in shopping online can also include lack of faith in terms of quality, size issues, too much picky about colours, unaware about what to buy and from where to buy and that actually happens a lot and is pretty okay.

Lack of experimentation can actually make you a vulnerable person who is always choosy about colours, not ready for styling different pieces of cloth and wants to be on the standard and safest side of fashion.

HOW TO OVERCOME THESE DIFFICULTIES?

If you’re a person who is ready for experimentations, your vision will expand towards clothing, you’ll yourself experience a change in your styling behaviour and your personality will enhance upon time and most importantly, you’ll never experience difficulties in sourcing for yourself. Experiment and explore yourself well and that’s the dominant piece of advice I want to offer you guys who are reading this blog.

Like I always say, we humans are so much intricate that we are actually confused about what to wear and from where to wear. Start building your wardrobe from the essentials first and then move forward to the next step. Make a list in advance of all the necessary things you want and accordingly source for your products.

Quality issues are nominal and can actually happen with anyone possibly. I believe we humans are one of the most effective influencers and we usually go on the word of mouth. Quality comes with trust so, it’s important to have faith and believe the art the company is offering. Stop being so judgemental as fashion simply means opening up to new possibilities and trends prevailing.

In case of issues regarding size, every brand runs and produces products according to its own norms. You might have a size M at some store and a size S at the other one. Prefer referring to the size charts beforehand if you’re shopping online and do believe in giving a read to the product cloth and type.

MY PIECE OF ADVICE –

I have a habit of writing down everything so why not an essential list. Pen down all that you need on a sheet of paper depending upon your interest.

MONTH 1– Make a budget of Rs. 2000/- and shop accordingly that your budget does not exceed the limit (Budget can be modelled according to your pocket but start from the lowest amount possible). Try shopping from the brands at the time of their sale’s and see how many things you can actually make out under this budget. Try with this technique for some time and you’ll actually see a change in how you start managing your money as well as your requirements.

How To Nail Office Wear/Business Casual Look For Men

As we enter the golden era of initiating our step towards earning for ourselves and our family, it is very important to make sure that you are carrying your look effectively and with ease. Call it office wear or just business casual, we often tend to make mistakes on very basic things while dressing and to make an image in front of your colleagues and your boss, it is essential to dress up in the right way with following some very standard parameters.

So, welcome to the today’s blog in which I’ll be discussing some quick essentials and facts you need to know about office wear and business casuals and how to style yourself in a very meaningful manner.

Essentials are the key to build your wardrobe and trust me, one mistake and all your look can happen to be highly unsuccessful. Watch out for these 5 essentials you need to have for improving your style game.

  • SHIRTS –

If you’re into going to an old-school type of office where employees around are you are much elder and the surrounding influences a strict traditional attire, this simply means that you can’t play much with colours. Go for shirts such as Blue, Pink or White – the most standardized, the most basic and the most elegant colours to wear.

LIGHT BLUE – PINK – WHITE = Traditional Colors

Prefer wearing lighter coloured shirts in the daytime and dark coloured shirts in the night time. Old school office dressing just ends up being up being very subtle and very sober where you can’t wear half sleeve shirts, no loud patterns and no saturated colours (Intensity of the colour is very high).

Give priority to lighter shades but few darker shades count on the modern business casuals especially when the people around you are very modernized, when it comes to lifestyle and supports, what it means to be a true gentleman in Dapper. (Only if the workplace allows you so).

BLACK – NAVY BLUE – GRAY – BROWN = Modernized Business Casual Colors

  • PANTS –

Colour selection should be very strict in case of pants. Wearing black, charcoal grey, navy blue and brown are the new age business casual colours which will always be the highlighting ones in your outfit.

There are two kinds of pants –

Traditional (Suit Pants/Trousers) – Make sure to get your pants taper towards the base which means making sure it is more sleek, much sharper from the fashion perspective.

Chinos – Chinos are basically the midline between jeans and trousers or suit pants. They are generally casually looking, tight around your thighs. Be strict in your colour selection and if worn correctly, no one is going to stop you from ruling the game.

(Make sure to select your pants colour to be slightly on a darker side than your shirt colour because it actually attracts attention more towards the upper body)

  • BELTS –

One of the most essential accessory when it comes down to men’s wear and styling. Prefer avoiding cotton belts as much as you can. With the addition of a proper belt to your office look or business casual, make sure that your belt colour complements your shoe colour or let it be near to that colour tone. The right choice is wearing leather belts or faux leather belts.

  • SHOES –

Well, my favourite category which I was waiting for, to come as soon as possible. There are some common mistakes which we tend to do at the time of dressing –

1) Forget to match the colour of our socks to our shoes.

2) Doesn’t wear shoes complementing the pants ( can be of the same colour tone or slightly darker ).

3) Doesn’t bother about the polish.

The most common modern formal shoes are the brogues, monk straps and loafers.

( According to me, when it comes to formal footwear, they are found slightly on the expensive side but invest once and they’ll serve you longer than any normal footwear. )

  • WATCHES –

Along with belts, watches are again the most important essential in formal dressing. If you’re into traditional formal attires, prefer wearing metallic watches and on the other hand, if you’re a modern business casual person, go for leather or faux leather watches. Avoid wearing big dial or eye catchy dial watches.

That’s all for this blog. You can write me a mail in case of any queries or image consultancy.

I hope this blog was productive and valuable to you from every perspective!

Thank you for stopping by until the end!

  • ALL NEUTRALS –

Exactly, what are neutral outfits? Having the same question in your head? So, these are the building blocks of any outfit and the colours included are Cream, Beige, Camel etc.

It’s all about complementing your colours in a good way. If you are able to understand the colour coordination, you can never go wrong in styling yourself.

With white sneakers in so much of trend lately, you can easily pair them up with these neutral colours to curate an effective pattern of fashion and styling.

  • CLASSIC NAVY AND BEIGE –

Blue is one such colour which will always complement the neutral colour. Wearing Navy Blue / Light Blue / Dark Blue with any of the neutral colours like beige, camel or cream will always work in your favour. If you’re going around for a casual date or walk, team it up with a pair of white sneakers.

  • BOLD COLOURS –

Bold colours are bright, eye-catching ones. These are made from primary colours and includes blue, red and yellow. These colours are full of life and personality. I’ll suggest you buy some V-neck or round neck basic t-shirts (whether half or full sleeve, according to your necessity), and well if you’re a college-going person or just simply out for a casual meeting, you can always go for this pair along with white sneakers.

Denim on Denim works on a very simple principle –  If your upperwear is dark, prefer wearing a light coloured jeans, chinos or whatever you feel like and vice versa. This is the most common mistake we usually make so try avoiding such mistakes. It’s all about styling yourself in an effective way and trust me, your fashion sense can actually influence many lives. So why not take the lead?

10 Clothing Summer Staples For Women

Okay, so this is the 2nd edition to my summer essentials and this blog post will be totally focusing on the women’s wear and apparels and perhaps, what to have in your wardrobe for this summer.

So, let’s get started, yeah?

While we all love trends, no wardrobe is complete without essentials and exactly how can you define what is essential to you? Every person has a different definition of it but if you ask me, these are the items that you turn to it in order to create almost every outfit.

From a plain white t-shirt to a denim jacket, I have made a list of some few essentials, every woman needs to have in their closet so as to enhance their summer game to a whole new level.

  • White T-shirt – Though, it’s the most standard and basic piece in clothing but when used correctly can actually enhance your overall look and trust me, it is one of the most versatile pieces of cloth. Team it up with a maxi dress, a patterned skirt or whatever you might think of but you can never go wrong with this staple piece.

  • Denim Jacket – Who said layering can just be done in winters? Team up your denim jackets as these are just perfect for mornings and evenings, the classic design will keep you warm even if the temperature drops. Denim over denim is one such look I personally like in both men’s wear as well as women’s wear.

  • Two Strap Sandals – Nobody likes sweaty feet in summers. This is the best time to ditch your classic shoes and rather go for these two strap sandals, instead. Not only will the open style keep your feet from overheating but it will elongate the appearance of your legs.

  • White Shirt – A white buttoned-up shirt is another versatile summer essential. Rather than just wearing shirts in the formal events, girls should focus on wearing them in the normal routine as well. It can be worn with jeans, shorts, skirts, and under the dress.

  • Shirt Dress – Whether you’re heading into the office, out for evening drinks a shirt dress makes an excellent outfit choice. The chic and simple style is perfect for keeping you feeling cool and effortlessly elegant.

  • Midi Skirt – Forget the mini, summer’s new staple is the midi. A midi skirt is typically supposed to be worn at mid-calf length. This skirt is totally style chic and flattering, cool and comfy to wear in summers especially.

  • White Sneakers – Shop for plain white sneakers and vibe in them. These are trendy, minimalistic and is a must-have footwear style and is perfect for both busy as well as lazy weekends.

  • Denim Shorts – Want to show off your legs in summers? Go for denim shorts. Try teaming it up with a casual tee and sneakers to end up being on a cute casual look or even luxe, according to the need.

  • Ballet Flats – Ballet flats are a great footwear style for summers. This comfy shoes can be worn easily with jeans or pants or it can with a shirt or a dress.

  • Maxi Dress – It’s already so hot outside and it’s just may right now so what to wear to beat this heat? It’s no wonder that maxi dress is the favourite summer style. Long, Billowy, breezy – maxi is everything you need to beat this summer heat.

  • The Perfect Sunglasses – There’s no better way to finish off a stylish summer outfit than with some sleek shades. So, whether you rock a classic pair of aviators or look chic in a cat eye design, embrace your personal version of the perfect sunglasses with pride.

10 Clothing Summer Staples For Men

So, now that we are in the summer months, you must be wondering what to wear in this hot season which is exactly comfortable to wear and fits a bit proper – not so tight and not so loose as well. I wanted to cover a few must-haves for summer wardrobe that will have you looking awesomely stylish without breaking the blank.

In a country like India, we need to break this stereotype that if you totally wear branded clothes, only and only then you’ll be considered a fashionable person which I think is not. Being a fashion advisor, I’ll suggest you to have different pieces of cloth so that it gets easier for you to ‘mix and match’ your clothes and curate a different and presentable look and trust me, it’s okay to wear clothes which are not that expensive. You should have your main focus on styling yourself well and only that matters.

So, I have prepared a list of top favourite picks which I’ll suggest you guys shop for so as to expand your summer wardrobe.

  • Sunglasses – Sunglasses are a must-have in these summers so as it not only protects your eyes but when coordinated well with the outfit, adds elegance to the overall look. Shop for a pair of sunglasses which suits your face and budget.

  • T-shirts –

Not having proper and desired knowledge about the cloth type and measurements can actually downgrade your wardrobe. First of all, know your measurements well like I wear a size ‘M’. Some other person may be wearing a size ‘L’. When picking up any tee, don’t forget to check out for the washing tips as different clothes have different washing procedures.

If you ask me what to wear in summers, I’ll recommend you to go for Basic Tees, Abstract Prints, Horizontal or Vertical lines T-shirts, Patches tees, Polo T-shirts and OCBD (Oxford Cloth Button Down). Polo T-shirts and OCBD are almost similar and the only difference lies is in the buttoned segment present at the neck in OCBT whereas polo tees just have a winged collar.

The most important tip I would like to give you all is that, next time you shop for t-shirts, make sure that if you’re wearing a round neck tee, the segment of cloth should be close to the neck. Closer it is to your neck, the better the fit is.

The men’s with shorter height should generally go with vertical line tees as they look taller and the ones with less weight should wear horizontal lines as it makes them look broader.

  • Khakhi Shorts – Wearing jeans, trousers, chinos in summers can be very uncomfortable so, go for some khaki shorts. They end above or on your knees and are the workhorse of the summer. A lot of shopping websites have quirky and amazing designs in printed, florals and basic designs so, shop your preferred ones for your wardrobe.

  • Coloured Chinos – When it comes to men’s pants, chinos are undoubtedly an essential style. As versatile as they are fashionable, these trousers are a must-have for every man. Not just for the casual looks, but they can be worn with formal shirts making them a fantastic item to own.Colour is important but the key is to pull off the chinos. Do you need a tip? Try chinos on and see how they complement your build and height. Chinos should never be too long.

  • Lightweight belt – With shorts and summer chinos, you don’t want a heavy leather belt because they are probably designed for jeans. Try going for a lightweight belt so that you don’t feel stuck up in your stomach region. Go for a black and brown/Tan belt as they coordinate with any outfit and usually blend in with any type of colour.Purchase a heavyweight belt for a formal attire and a lightweight one for a semi-formal or casual attire.

  • Boat Shoes – They are cosy and comfortable to wear in summers. Pair them with a polo t-shirt and khaki pants and walk the carpet in style. Don’t be one of those guys that wears them with visible socks though. Either go barefoot or if you have sweaty feet, get some no-show socks.

  • Sneakers – Sneakers are just called as the New Sandals. These are the shoes primarily designed for sports or other forms of physical exercise but are often worn in everyday use. Try having different colours – white being the most trendy and most stylish. The best shopping websites to buy sneakers according to me, are Ajio, Koovs, Myntra.

  • The Fitted Short Sleeve Shirt – There’s an absurdly false rule that you should never a short sleeve buttoned shirt. As with everything goes, all that matters is your honing on in the fit. If you’re a loose skinny guy, go for a full sleeve shirt as it curtains up your skinny body and if you’re a man with a build, go for these half sleeves buttoned shirt. Pair them with your khaki shorts and tassel loafers and let the eyes roll.

  • Colognes – Smelling good in summers take a little extra effort, I mean it’s hot out there and you’re sweaty, but a solid fragrance is a great way to overcome the odds in your favour. Lighten up your fragrance arsenal with light, fresh scents that’ll last all summer long.

And, that’s all for today. Thank you for stopping by until the end. Will be writing on ‘ 10 Summer Clothing Staples For Women’ in the next blog post.

If you like the post, do share it with your friends because it’s all about adding value to someone’s life.

Walk On The Vogue Side!

What is meant by vogue? Vogue is defined as the prevailing fashion or style at a particular time. ‘Walk On The Vogue Side’ is the third edition and it’ll be covering my knowledge of ethnic fashion. Ethnic style in fashion is an important, yet somewhat neglected area in our Lifestyle.

Ethnic fashion and wear cover all the Indian traditional category of clothing which is worn by Indian women and men as the sign of their culture. It includes Saree, Salwar Kameez, Lehenga and Kurti for the women and Kurta Pyjama, Sherwani, Dhoti Kurta for men.

I have always believed that clothing tends to have a great impact on our personality. In a country like India, you can easily discover different individuals who wear different outfits of various colours. Even the clothing scenario is diversified but still, you have a choice of either joining the trendy flow or to create your own style statement.

I personally feel western wear gives a freedom of expression whereas a traditional wear allows you to get in that flavour of your culture and traditions.

Yes, the Indian wedding season is here and there are a number of invites lying at home. Everyone loves attending this wedding season because of the food on the primary importance but there’s always one issue and that is deciding what to wear, especially with men.

So, this time rather than a dark or light coloured shirt or tee, I decided to give an ethnic touch to my look. I went up for an olive green kurta-pyjama with a touch of embroidery on it and matched it up with a multi-coloured colour splash waistcoat.

You can expand your style horizon by going for blue or olive green shades. Kurta Pyjamas are highly versatile so experiment with them as much as you can but make sure that your whole outfit is colour coordinated. Used this Red Polka Dot Jaipuri Chunni to enhance the overall look and to add a ‘Shahi or Nawab’ texture to the all over personality in the frame.

So, done with the first outfit now and next, I went up for a plain Khadi Kurta and paired it with a red and black checkered waistcoat with a slight sparkle on its outer adding to an exceptionally different outfit look. A black formal watch with a black aviator will do the rest for your outfit.

I completed this look by adding a dash of colour with a Maroon pocket square which gives a royal touch to the entire look.

So, if you haven’t still decided what to wear for the weddings coming ahead, go for a Kurta Pyjama with a waistcoat so as to provide a feel of Bandhgala to it. Trust me, you’ll be the show stopper!

WINTER LOOK BOOK

Hello Everyone!

Just because its cold outside that doesn’t mean you can’t have as much fun getting dressed as you did during the summer months, and look just as stylish!

So, winters and fall have to be the best months to showcase your style with endless layering possibilities to kick start the chilly weather. Don’t get me wrong, but we all love the easy, breezy fashion that comes with warm weather, but the cool, crisp winter season air just gives us so many options.

But guess what? Just because it’s freezing out that doesn’t mean we have to resign ourselves, giving up on style, it just means we all have to think a bit more creatively when getting dressed in the morning. And that’s why winters are considered to be the best season to express your fashion sense, since, you have so many options to wear and adding patterned accessories can what get your outfit on the next level.

With the fashion cycles constantly changing, trends come and go, some things come in while the other goes out. So, hereby, taking you to the WINTER LOOKBOOK of 2018.

Pull over this snug tee from Jack & Jones to keep the style looking fresh and healthy. So, I have teamed up this white V-neck tee with my favourite glacial blue jeans from Levis to produce a well-integrated effect with the background.
These Double Monk high top sneakers were purchased from Koovs and believe me, the cloth quality and the cushioned footbed has actually made this pair of shoes, the most trendy and classy footwear when it comes down to fashion and lifestyle.
Since winter offers various layering possibilities so, teamed up the white tee with velvet black coat from Raymonds to produce a quirky touch to the outfit.  Beanie cap from Shopclues and sunglasses from United Colors of Benetton adding grace and elegance to the all over outfit.

This black woven insulator bomber jacket is again from Jack and Jones and has a stand collar, a hoodie which is completely insulated to protect from the chilly breeze, possess a full zip closure, long sleeves. The combination of a white tee and blue jeans is just an over-seasonal affair. Trust me, it can never go wrong.

In the middle of winters, a scarf with a bit of colour and texture can help wake up your look, especially since your jacket is probably black or grey. Look for playful patterns like checks and plaids to give your style some depth. Used a checkered woollen scarf which can easily go with any outfit and trust me, it is one of the most important winter essentials you need to have in your closets.

So, that’s all for today. I hope you had a nice time going through my winter lookbook. Thank you, Himanshu Ralhan, for this invitation to collaborate and for helping me out in Winter Lookbook. Trust me, you are amazing!

Autumn Style, Done Right!

Howdy, People!

Relaxing on a Lazy Sunday and still not off from work. Argh!

So you must be thinking what next I’m going to cook up this time? Well, this time I’m coming up with fashion and lifestyle for you people. I’ll be sharing all my knowledge on the grounds of fashion and lifestyle with some cool tips which you’ll get to know super soon.

AUTUMN is considered to be the most amazing season when it comes to fashion and styling and that is the same reason why I have started with autumn. I have always felt that Autumn has a secret relationship with fashion and lifestyle. Do you think the same? Anyway, how’s autumn treating you people?

Don’t let your style game fall away with autumn leaves!

Hereby, presenting my first look of this Autumn season. Check it out!

Coming to the outfit now, just kept it very simple and elegant. Chose denim for this look as it is actually the comfiest wear in this season, will definitely add grace to your overall look and yeah, will never let you down. My love for denim will never fade!

Glacial blue jeans are what I prefer with denim more than black. I know black is a universal colour which does go with every outfit but when wearing denim, the only mistake we people generally do is by wearing any dark jeans with denim which actually does not suite well than any light coloured jeans. Fellas, keep that in mind!

Denim with light coloured jeans suits and looks the best!

Like any good outfit, the accessory took it to the next level. I styled it with a plain black scarf to pep it beyond the norm. The right scarf can add boatloads of charm and personality to your look, a great consolation during those frigid, unforgiving months of winter.

Bought this really amazing denim from Flipkart under Highlander’s Denim and these jeans from Wrangler, shoes from Adidas Originals and watch from Carson watches.

Love the denim? You can buy now at the link –

https://goo.gl/2scr9A

That’s all for today. I hope it was worth going through. All ears for your reviews now!

See you in the next one, people!
